I have enjoyed painting and been drawn to art for as long as I can remember. Today, I live just outside Washington, DC, where I work as a part-time painter. My primary passions are watercolor and Chinese calligraphy, and I feel deeply grateful for every opportunity to create.

I am inspired by light, unexpected color harmonies, and the fluid interaction of water and pigment. Through my work, I seek to weave these elements into abstract, impressionistic, and realistic compositions. Regardless of the subject, I strive to balance realism with loose, painterly abstraction, allowing each to complement and enhance the other. My paintings are meant to reveal beauty both up close, in their intricate details and textures, and from a distance, in their overall composition and atmosphere. I hope my work evokes a sense of wonder and invites you to immerse yourself in its depth of color, delicate patterns, and joyful spirit.

Chinese calligraphy is another art form that holds a special place in my heart. More than simply the writing of characters, it is a visual art that unites form, movement, and literary meaning. Practiced and revered throughout East Asia for centuries, Chinese calligraphy embodies balance, rhythm, and harmony. Each brushstroke is carefully shaped to convey both meaning and emotion, making every piece a unique and deeply personal expression of the artist.

I hope this collection of artwork brings you joy and inspiration and adds a touch of color—or the quiet elegance of black and white—to your life.
